Pulp fashion with a historical perspective
The belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave is famous for making amazing customes of paper. Painting and manipulating the paper, she forms trompe l’oeil masterpieces of elaborate dresses inspired by rich depictions in early European painting or by iconic costumes in museum collections around the world.
Her work was recently shown at the exhibition “Pulp Fashion”, hosted by San Fransisco’s Legion of Honor museum.
